Happy "Balentines"

So Valentine's came and went, and of course I am just blogging on it (but hey only 2 days after this time!) It was more like a Valentine's week since Lydia had a party at school Wednesday. She was so excited to have mom and sissy there at school. Then we went to Memphis for the weekend to fix our cars. We almost had both cars broken down at the same time. Thanks to Jonathan's handy dad we think they'll last a little longer (the dreaded need for a van is creeping closer). Friday night we took the opportunity to go out since we don't really have babysitters in Jackson. Saturday I had a consignment shopping day with Mom to get Lydia's summer wardrobe. And Sunday we did presents. I made a steak dinner (opened the menu) after the girls went to bed. We're not really romantics although I prefer it, but it's hard with the girls and exhaustion they cause. Anyhow I was just thinking that we actually had our 1st V-day before we were married which is rare among Mormons. This unusual cold, snowy weather reminds me of it since we were at BYU. We went ice-skating at an outdoor rink in town and out to dinner, and Jonathan wrote me a song and played it on his guitar. SEE! We used to be romantic. Anyhow that's our little love story. Hope everyone felt loved over the Holiday.

I really like that picture of you and Jonathan. The girls look so grownup!!! Don't worry... we aren't that romantic anymore either. Maybe when are kids are a little older we can be romantic again!
